The staff was so kind and friendly during this visit, even helping make my husband's tacos extra crispy, per his request. We always love sharing De La Cruz with our out-of-town friends when they visit. Food is always fresh and delicious. They give you free chips and salsa. Most places charge you extra Staff is friendly and 1 love the new rewards system for regulars. In addition the best menudo in Ventura County in my opinion.

I had been here once before and had a asada burrito (el burro) and was not disappointed. I was in the area and stopped by for breakfast and had a Chile Verde Ranchero. This is one of the best Chile verde I have had. The flavor, the heat and ingredients were “spot on”. If you like Chile verde you will not be disappointed! A must visit . The service was great and the homemade salsa were spectacular. Great home made tortillas!

My go to restaurant for Mexican food, everything is made fresh. The Barbacoa special is excellent, and you can have it any way you want. I elected for a barbacoa burrito and the slow roasted beef was as good as home made. I also love the fresh chips and self serve salsa bar. Excellent service and reasonably priced..

My family, friends and I love this nice little hole in the wall. If you are looking for excellent authentic Mexican cuisine this is definitely in my top 3. We come here often for a nice weekend lunch or dinner for various entree items. There isn’t anything on the menu that we haven’t said we wouldn’t get again. We love going for their taco Tuesday’s, my favorite meats are their pollo, carnitas, chorizo and chile verde. I also love their chile relleno taco grande. My partner’s favorite is the al pastor because they make it with a sweet savory twist which makes it delightfully different. The chilaquiles are also so yummy. You can choose red or green and we went with green, their chips and salsa are made in house and do not disappoint. The fat burrito special is also one of my favorites. Their portions are just the perfect amount and the price is competitive. The staff are all also so friendly and the cooks. Always hats off to the kitchen crew.
