GLI has been our go-to transportation for our office due to ease of booking and reliability; however, I am not happy with the sneaky increased fees and non-transparency.
For example, we just booked several trips with them to/from LAX for international flights. The prices we were given for our trip confirmations were significantly less than the final prices we were actually charged. On top of $189.00 Base Flat Charge, they add: $15.12 Fuel Surcharge, $10.00 Tolls/Parking, $5.00 Airport Fee/Misc. Charge, and $30.00 "Customs" Fee.
We have Global Entry, carry-on luggage only, and did not exceed the 15 minute grace period; however, we were still charged the $30.00 "Customs" Fee on top. Unfortunately, with these expensive upcharges, we will be switching to Blacklane or another operator.
